Judy Miller, owner of Paradise Gardens Rare Plant Nursery and occasional contributor to this blog, has started one of her own: In Paradise. If you’ve enjoyed her writing here, or if you garden in the mountainous west of North America, you’ll want to check it out.
Now, the digging and dividing of perennials, the general autumn cleanup and the planting of spring bulbs are all an act of faith. One carries on before the altar of delayed gratification, until the ground freezes and you can’t do any more other than refill the bird feeder and gaze through the window, waiting for the snow. . . . Meanwhile, it helps to think of yourself as a pear tree or a tulip. You will blossom spectacularly in the spring, but only after the required period of chilling.

I subscribe too 🙂 I’m always on the hunt for gardeners in a similar zone. I have a lot to learn!
Yes, I mentioned those soaps around Christmas time.
I especially like the link to the soaps at Paradise Gardens. I can almost smell them. Hmmmm.
A great new blog to read. I subscribed in my feed reader.
