For upstate New York residents looking for an excuse to venture east, beloved author and landscape designer Julie Moir Messervy is hosting a daylong design workshop near her studio in Saxtons River, Vt.

“Creating Home Outside” is an inspiring and thought provoking workshop that combines Julie Moir Messervy’s signature design process with a preview of the practical information and techniques from her upcoming book, Home Outside.

The workshop is for homeowners and professionals alike and combines stimulating lectures, delightful images and instructive diagrams to illustrate outdoor space organization and address design challenges. Messervy teaches participants to transform a property into a cohesive and personal landscape by encouraging them to move past their preconceived notions of landscape design to create a “Home Outside” on their own or their client’s land.
