My next webinar, Inspired Design Lessons Learned from Magnificent Gardens in England, Canada and the United States, will be on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Breathtaking gardens will be the classroom for great take-away lessons that elevate landscapes from ordinary to spectacular! What better time than drab winter days to view stunning gardens and plan outstanding make-overs for your own landscape next spring.
The presentation embraces many elements of great design including the use of focal points, plant material, garden rooms, repetition, color, texture, scale and much more. Registrants do not have to attend the live webinar on January 26 to enjoy the lecture! All registrants will receive an email with the lecture link a few days after the broadcast, allowing them to watch it at their convenience, as many times as they wish. Bressingham Gardens, located in England, is one of the spectacular gardens to be featured. This amazing display encompasses six distinct gardens totaling over 17 acres. Award-winning garden designer and author, Adrian Bloom and his father, Alan, created this masterpiece. There are two main sections – The Dell Garden and Foggy Bottom. A few years ago I had the honor of staying at Bressingham Manor and learning from Adrian. In the Webinar I will be showcasing Adrian’s top 12 perennial picks for year-round interest in the garden. One of these is Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’, a shimmering red summer blooming perennial that flowers in sun to part shade and is hardy in Zones 5 – 9. I have grown this for two years in my southern Maine gardens with no winter protection. The Webinar includes detailed lecture notes, questions and answers, and the chance to win great door prizes. There is also a CEU form available for Master Gardeners, Certified Horticulturists and Landscape Architects. The Webinar can be viewed from your desktop, tablet or smartphone and is compatible with Microsoft, Mac, Android and IPhone.I’m looking forward to welcoming you to the classroom on January 26th. Please tell your friends to jump on this gardening bandwagon. The more the merrier! Click here for more information and to register.
