Galanthus ‘Joe’s Poculiformis’

Galanthus 'Joe's Poculiformis'

Galanthus ‘Joe’s Poculiformis’ According to John Grimshaw, poculiform snowdrops have no inner petals. The inner petals have become an additional three outer petals; ideally, they are all the same length. I could find no other information on this, but I speculate that “Joe” is Joe Sharman of Monksilver Nursery in Cambridge, England.

What differentiates a bulb from a perennial plant is that the nourishment for the flower is stored within the bulb itself.…There is something miraculous about the way that a little grenade of dried up tissue can explode into a complete flower.
