This is a trial plant from Skagit Gardens. I’ve never grown Gaillardias before. I have Commotion Tizzy and Commotion Frenzy, and I have to look at the tags to tell them apart.
What differentiates a bulb from a perennial plant is that the nourishment for the flower is stored within the bulb itself.…There is something miraculous about the way that a little grenade of dried up tissue can explode into a complete flower.

This looks like something hummingbirds would like. I’ve always wanted to grow gaillardias but haven’t yet. Maybe next year as I have the seeds I bought this year – lol.
