This was a fascinating read! I’m so very glad that you did this on your fifth anniversary.

As I stumble my way through figuring out my own blog, it’s instructive to get a glimpse into all that you have learned.

I said it before and I’ll say it again: I wish I could be a fly on the wall at your presentation at the upcoming writer’s convention. I’m sure your blog presentation will be insightful and fascinating to all those garden writers.

I’m glad you are all enjoying yourselves. It would have been a shame to wear my party dress and have no one show up to the party. As for that hiatus . . . I still have things I should cross off my to-do list, but the blog withdrawal symptoms are getting pretty severe. I guess the hiatus is over, but I’m probably going to be posting less frequently until I come back from the GWA symposium.

Ha. Your Draft file sounds eerily familiar. I have more than 50 posts that once were inspirational highlights but can’t for the life of me remember what the inspiration was. I keep them there in the hope that it will one day return.

Kathy, this was such a great post. I loved hearing the thoughts of those who asked the questions and being intrigued and inspired by your answers.

I agree that your Pioneer series was incredible and a great preservation of internet history. Until I read that I thought that the longest anyone had beaten me here was 6 months – not 4-5 years.

I love your blog and hopefully your hiatus will be short.

Belated anniversary greetings, Kathy – I’m so glad I found you through Zanthan Gardens a couple of years ago.

That five year number seems incredible to me after one year and a few months of posting. Maybe it’s like a long marriage? From the outside 40 years can seem unattainable, but from the inside, the time may have flown past.

I also hope we get that chance to meet!
